Palm Trees are among one of the most popular trees in Southern Nevada and play an important role in our urban environment.
The growth season of the palm tree begins in March and ends at the beginning of June. As a result, seed growth and dead fronds form around the base of the canopy of the palm tree.
For aesthetic and safety purposes, palm trees are pruned once per year beginning in the middle of June after the growth of the tree is complete.
The varieties of palm trees that need pruning in Southern Nevada include Mexican Fan Palms, Date Palms, and Canary Palms.
